The only two tools released by the Apple iPhone Dev team to jailbreak iPhone & iPod Touch 3.0 was Pwnagetool and Redsn0w tool. Redsn0w has been released for both the windows and Mac users. Mac users was disappointed by the Pwnagetool since is was only for windows Users. Now here comes Pwnagetool 3.0 for the Mac Users. The Pwnagetool 3.01 has been released after fixing the compatibility issue with PPC version of Mac OS X.This was the information post along with the torrent.
PwnageTool 3.01 is a Mac based iPhone firmware creation tool for creating custom ipsw/firmware for the 1st gen iPod Touch, iPhone and iPhone 3G (NOT 3GS). This version fixes compatibility with the PPC version of Mac OS X also the Icy package is updated.

This DOES NOT work with version 3.1 of the iPhone OS.
Since there is no official reports about the release of Pwnagetool 3.01 For Mac OS X i dont recommended to try it.
