Before proceeding with, you need to Jailbreak iPhone 3G/3GS 3.12 Firmware if you havent done that.

1. Search for MyWi in Cydia application in your iPhone and install it. An application called RockApp will be installed automatically along with MyWi application. If it doesnt get installed automatically install it manually.


2. Open up the RockApp and get you a free Rock ID.


3. After Signing in with your RockApp id you will see a update to MyWi application. After installing the update restart your iPhone to complete the process successfully.


4. Open up the MyWi application and turn on the option for USB/Bluetooth tethering (Seen as USB and Bluetooth under Tethering)


5. Noe browse to Settings > General >Network >Internet and Turn on the Option for Internet Tethering

Earlier iPhone dev team has released the Pwnagetool to jailbreak iPhone 3G/3GS 3.12 firmware. Before proceeding with the iphone 3G/3GS with 3.1.2 firmware ,unlocking process, it needs to be jaibreaked. After you have jailbreaked your iPhone 3G you can use Ultrasn0w tool to unlock it. So here are the steps.

How To Unlock iPhone 3G/3GS 3.12 Firmware with Ultrasn0w

1. If you havent jailbreaked your iPhone, Follow this guide on How to Jailbreak iPhone 3G/3GS 3.12 Firmware


2. Now go to Cydia and Choose Manage Tab.


3. Select Sources, press Edit-Add and add the following address to it.

So here is a small guide on How to Jailbreak the iPhone 2G, 3G or 3GS with 3.12 Firmware for windows users. You don't need to wait for the windows version of the PwnageTool or RedSn0w tool to be released.

How to Jailbreak iPhone 3G/3GS 3.12 Firmware in Windows

1. You should have the Latest version of iTunes to be installed before starting. So Download Latest iTunes version if you dont have it.

3. Now connect the iPhone to your PC using the USB port in the back of the CPU (Avoid USB hubs).


4. Open up iTunes and sync all data with your pc. This is done to make iTunes take a backup of your important data.


5. For Mac users a custom IPSW File is created by the Pwnage tool automatically. So as a windows users you need to download the suiting firmware first.
   Following are the files
   
   For iPhone 2G Users: “iPhone1,1_3.1.2_7D11_Custom_Restore”
   For iPhone 3G Users: “iPhone1,2_3.1.2_7D11_Custom_Restore”
   For iPhone 3GS Users: “iPhone2,1_3.1.2_7D11_Custom_Restore”
   
   Just Google for it. You will easily get it.


6. After you have downloaded the required .ipsw file . Copy the file to the following location.
   
   For Windows Xp Users: “C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Update\”
   
   For Windows Vista Users:“C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates\”
   
   For Windows 7 Users:“C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates\”



If you manually browse to the location then make sure you have "Show Hidden Files and Folders" option enabled to see those folders, as they are made hidden by windows automatically.

The Pwnagetool 3.01 has been released after fixing the compatibility issue with PPC version of Mac OS X.

The Apple IPhone Jailbreaking tool, QuickPwn will be installed as an application namely Cydia. Cydia is really an online store (not the official Apple iPhone Store) from where you can get all the Applications that are not available through official Apple iPhone Store.

Search for " iPhoneModem by Addition " in there and install it. Now download the iPhone Modem helper application on your laptop.

Now you need to setup the network
