Look for the option saying " Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer " and uncheck this option and press "OK".
Now a windows opens up asking you to enter the current password you use to log in to Windows 7. Enter the password and confirm. Done!.

From now on when you boot to Windows you will not be asked or prompted to enter the user name and password. This can also save a couple of seconds while starting Windows.

Update Nod 32 antivirus OFFLINE (without an Internet connection) / Install Nod32 Updates from your Harddisk itself

There are still many users who dont update their security softwares regularly due to the reason that they don't have an internet connection. To protect your PC regularly you must update the antivirus regularly. UPDATE NOD 32 with DVD/CD (Method 1)


First create a directory called 'nod_upd' and extract/copy the update files to it. Now burn this to a DVD/CD and open the NOD32 Control Center and and choose the update option. Now Click on 'Setup' button and from the 'Server' drop down list choose the CD/DVD-ROM drive as the update option. Insert the CD/DVD and choose 'update now' option. Your system will be updated now.

UPDATE NOD32 from Harddisk or USB/Pendrive drive (Method 2)

This method of update is a bit more tricky. To do this update go to the 'Start Menu' and select 'Run' and type 'regedit'. This will open the Windows Registry Editor. Now navigate to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESET\Nod\CurrentVersion\Modules\Update\Settings\Config000\Settings. Now look for the key named 'Selected Server' and change its default value from 'Autoselect' to 'FILE:C:\Nod_upd/'. Use the same path as the update file location (Harddisk or USB drive/any other drive). Now close the Registry Editor. Now open the nod32 update screen and select "Setup". At the update option click on the " Update now " option to Update your nod32 Antivirus.
Wait for a while and your nod32 antivirus will be updated with the latest virus definitions.

Apart from the above mentioned methods to update nod32 offline, you can also try this one.

Download the updates to any folder. Let it be to a folder in your C: drive (C:\latestnod32update).
Now open the NOD32 Control Center and select the update option.

Now Click on the 'Setup' button.
In the 'Server' give the path of the folder where we have saved the updates here it is C:\latestnod32update and confirm with " OK "

Among all the servers select it and click " OK ".
Finally Click the Update now option and Nod 32 will be updated now.

So from now on you will be able to update NOD32 (2.7 and above) offline that is without an Internet connection.

Format Pendrive or USB drive in NTFS Format and Prevent any Virus from Entering your Pendrive

NTFS file format offers more security and speed compared with the other file system's like FAT or FAT32. When you want to format a Pen drive or USB drive in NTFS file system Format actually you will not see any option in Windows by default to do it. When you right click on the Pen drive's icon and choose format option you will get only two options FAT and FAT32 to format the pendrive. So you can format your USB drive in those two formats only. So here is a way to format you Pendrive in NTFS file system format.

The best advantage of NTFS file system format is that data can be written to the pendrive only using our system i.e. by your pc only (the data is secure). So when we plug on to other system they can only read the drive and cant write to it since the pendrive is in NTFS file format. So we don't need to fear any virus from entering our pendrive.
Here's how to do it.

• Plug the USB drive or Pendrive to your PC.
• Now right click on MY Computer in Desktop and select Device Manager.
• Select Disk Drive and Expand it (+) and you can see your drive.
• Now right click on it and select Properties and go to the Policies Tab.
• Now activate the option showing Optimize For Performance and press OK .
• This will enable the pendrive to be used in NTFS file format. From now on you will get the option to format your Pendrive or USB drive in NTFS file format.

You will also notice a speed increase in writing and reading data with your pendrive, this is because the pendrive or USB drive is now optimized for performance mode.

Using the program is easy. Open the ' Find | Find Handle or DLL' to find the application you want to close. You may enter the file name displayed in the windows error message and do a search. The program which is using that file will appear in the process column. Now things are more easy just right click the corresponding program and select 'Kill process'. This will terminate the program that is currently using the file and now you will be able to delete the file without any problem.

How to Prevent/Protect your Pendrives and Harddisk's from autorun.inf virus

These day's it is normal to get affected by the autorun virus when we take our pendrives outside and plug into a another system. Guys, here is a way that can prevent your Pendrives and Hard disk's from being affected by the autorun.inf virus. Actually this trick will fool the autorun virus ie it will not allow the autorun virus to create the file named autorun.inf in the root directory of drives. If you want to use this trick make sure the pendrives and hard drives are free from the autorun virus because this trick is not to remove the virus if it is there but to prevent the drive from being affected by the virus in the future.

1. Use the command md autorun.inf on all of your drives.
2. This will create a folder named autorun.inf on the specified drive.So when the virus comes your system will prevent it from being regenerated as it will not allow two files by the same name in one place.
3. You should use the command md autorun.inf on all of your drives including your pendrive.
4. Now reboot your system.
5. Done!

Make a Folder Compelety Invisible in Windows

Do you want a folder to be completely hidden?.In windows even if we make a folder properties hidden it will be shown when we use the option 'search for hidden files and folder' while searching a file.But here is a trick that really make the folder invisible.So here's how you do it.

1. Right click the place where you want the folder to be created and select create a new folder.
2. Right click the newly created folder and select rename.
3. Now clear the file name.But windows tells you that you cant create a folder without a file name.
4. So clear the file name, while the name field still active press and hold alt and press 0160 (Num lock must be on).
5. Now you will have a folder without a file name.
6. Right click the nameless folder and go to the properties and select the customize tab.
7. Now select the change icon.
8. Look for the icon that has no image. That is a blank one. Select it and press OK.
9. That's it there's your invisible folder.
10. I recommend not to put it on your desktop as it may show up for a second while starting windows.
11. It will be good enough to put it with a group of folders.
12. For an enhanced hiding you can also make its property hidden.
